Introducing Automations: Set Up in Seconds, Run Forever

We’re launching Automations in CoChat today—and we built them to work the way AI automations should work.

No flowcharts. No node editors. No 15-minute YouTube tutorials just to connect two tools. Describe what you want in plain language, and CoChat handles the rest.

Why we built this

Most automation tools were designed before AI could understand what you actually meant. So they gave you visual builders—boxes and arrows and triggers and conditions. Powerful, sure. But also slow to set up and annoying to maintain.

We asked a simpler question: what if you could just tell CoChat what to do?

How it works

Automations in CoChat do three things:

1. Take actions across your tools
Connect your MCPs once, then let automations handle the repetitive stuff—create tasks, update records, send notifications, move data between systems.

2. Summarize content on a schedule
Get automatic digests of your meetings, documents, or project activity. Daily, weekly, whatever cadence makes sense for you.

3. Respond to triggers
When something happens in one tool, CoChat can act in another. No manual monitoring required.

The difference

Here’s what setting up a “summarize my meetings every Friday” automation looks like in a typical tool:

  1. Create a new workflow
  2. Select a trigger type
  3. Configure the schedule
  4. Add a filter condition
  5. Connect to your calendar
  6. Add a summarization step
  7. Configure the output format
  8. Add a delivery action
  9. Test the workflow
  10. Debug why it didn’t work
  11. Actually ship it

Here’s what it looks like in CoChat:

  1. “Summarize my meetings every Friday and email me the digest”

That’s it.

What you can automate

A few ideas to get started:

  • Weekly summaries of project activity across all your connected tools
  • Daily digest of new GitHub issues assigned to your team
  • Automatic meeting notes delivered after every call
  • Status updates compiled and sent every Monday morning
  • Document summaries whenever new files hit a folder

Get started

Automations are live now for all CoChat users. Head to your workspace, click the new Automations tab, and set one up in under two minutes.

We’re not exaggerating—time yourself.
